Sunday Services every week at 10am – Ashfield Uniting Church

The message of Christmas is surprisingly simple and clear: It is that hope comes from where you least expect it.

It doesn’t come from the powers that be. It doesn’t come by military force. It doesn’t come from money. Rather, it comes from within itself, and it is born of the fruits of loving compassion.

Hope has the power to change everything and it does.

Hope is so powerful, even the powerful are subjected to it. It has no ownership and no agenda.

In the darkest moments of the world today, where it looks like the forces of death and destruction are in control, hope can shine like a star within all of us.

It calls upon us to reach out of our safety zone and move into uncharted waters. It calls us to be brave and loving.

Imagine how different the world would be if you truly opened your eyes to see, and your ears to hear.

A world rich in hope is surely one we want our children and our grandchildren to live in.

This Christmas hope is calling us like never before.
